how can units participate?

All Pioneers chapters, clubs and councils are encouraged to participate in the Centennial.  Ways you can participate include:

Pioneers Environmental Initiative:  Sparking a Clean, Green Planet
Pioneers Literacy Project:  Spark the Love of Reading
Pioneers Military Mission:  Sparking Support for Soldiers and their Families

    • Planning is also underway for a One Day International Project to be carried out by all Pioneers units in 2011.  Stay tuned for details!
    • Link your unit's Facebook page if you have one to Pioneers Headquarter's organizational page.  Encourage your members to network, reconnect and share ideas, best practices and resources to support Pioneers' volunteer efforts on our Facebook organizational page.  If they are new to Facebook and need assistance in getting started, encourage your members to access our online resources available to support them in joining our online community.  Guidelines are also available to assist units in creating a Facebook page.
    • Post the Centennial seal link on your unit’s website if you have one.  The seal will link visitors to Centennial information on the Pioneers’ website.
    • Mark your calendar and plan on attending the 2010 Annual Meeting and Centennial Celebration, November 2-5, 2011 at Boston's Westin Waterfront Hotel.
    • Encourage others to join as a member of Pioneers!  Our strength is in our membership of eager hands and hearts willing to answer the call of those in need.  Help us grow our ranks by recruiting new Pioneers.
    • Purchase special commemorative Centennial items in bulk for your unit's use locally by contacting John Baicy, our partner on Pioneers Essentials.
